1. Therapeutic Tutoring for Children Aged 5+ with Complex Needs

This is our core offering, providing a safe foundation for learning. We support children aged 5+ and deliver lessons from our dedicated space in East Grinstead, conveniently online, or, if preferred, by travelling to the learner's home address across Sussex and Surrey.

 

This might be for you if... you're a parent of a child who is non-attending, has faced exclusion, or struggles with anxiety, trauma, ADHD, ASD, or PDA. You may worry that traditional tutoring will only increase pressure or that your child's complex needs won't be understood. At Nest Learning, we see all behaviour as communication. Our tutoring is child-led and trauma-responsive, meaning the emotional and relational needs come first. We blend specific academic tutoring (including SATs and exam strategies) with therapeutic tools like Drawing and Talking therapy programmes. This ensures your child
feels truly safe, which is the foundation for any real learning and progress. We support individual children and offer small group tutoring for Key Stage 2+ pupils to foster social connection.

2. Successful School Reintegration & Transition Support

We offer dedicated support to help children navigate the complex emotional landscape of returning to, or moving within, the school environment. This is always a bespoke package tailored to the child's specific anxieties and circumstances.

This might be for you if... your child is ready to return to school after a period of non-attendance, or is moving from Primary to Secondary school (e.g., in the Mid-Sussex area). You may fear a relapse, another period of non-attendance, or that your child lacks the coping strategies needed for a smoother transition. Our School Reintegration Support is a compassionate bridge. We work with the child to equip them with inner strength and practical strategies, managing anxiety and understanding their triggers before they step back into the classroom. We also provide bespoke School Transition Support for those facing the move from primary to secondary, building resilience and confidence for the next stage.

3. Guidance for Alternative Educational Paths (EOTAS)

For children whose long-term well-being and growth lie outside of traditional school, we provide expert support in charting a successful alternative course.
